The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing a connector and a method for manufacturing a connector using the same. The apparatus for manufacturing a connector comprises: a transfer part which transfers a carrier one side of which a lead wire is attached to in one direction, a cutting part which is installed at the back end of the transfer part and cuts the carrier transferred by the transfer part into predetermined lengths, an inject part which is installed at the back end of the cutting part and injects a molding unit into one side of the lead wire attached to the carrier when the carrier is transferred away from the cutting part, and a divide part which is installed at the back end of the inject part, to which the carrier is transferred from the inject part, and which separates the lead wire from the carrier by cutting the one side of the lead wire attached to the carrier. According to the present invention, a carrier, to which a gold-plated lead wire is attached, is cut into predetermined lengths before a molding unit is formed at one side of the lead wire, and then the carrier and the lead wire are separated from each other by cutting one side of the lead wire. Thus, a guide frame is not required to transfer the carrier and consequentially, the manufacturing costs can be saved. |
