摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a magnesium alloy using a grain refiner and a magnesium alloy manufactured thereby and, specifically, to a method for manufacturing a magnesium alloy comprising step 1 of manufacturing an aluminum master alloy by adding carbonate-based powder to aluminum molten metal, and step 2 of manufacturing a magnesium alloy by adding the aluminum master alloy manufactured in step 1 to magnesium molten metal; and a method for manufacturing a magnesium alloy comprising step 1 of manufacturing an aluminum master alloy by mixing carbonate-based powder with an aluminum (Al) metal chip and adding the same to aluminum molten metal, and step 2 of manufacturing a magnesium alloy by adding the aluminum master alloy manufactured in step 1 to magnesium molten metal, and to a magnesium alloy manufactured thereby. The present invention has an effect of easily controlling the decomposition rate of the refiner according to the melting rate of the metal chip, injecting the quantitative refiner into magnesium molten metal, and safely adding the refiner by reducing the danger of ignition as carbonate-based powder is not directly injected into magnesium molten metal, but injected into magnesium molten metal after an aluminum master alloy is manufactured.</p>
