PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator illumination device capable of securing illumination which does not inconvenience an elevator user even when an illumination LED deteriorates.SOLUTION: An elevator illumination device comprises an illumination measuring device 4 which measures illuminance of a white LED 3 and a central control unit 2 which controls an increase in current flowing to the white LED 3 when illuminance of the white LED 3 measured by the illumination measuring device 4 becomes less than a prescribed value. The elevator illumination device further includes a temperature measuring device 5 which measures a temperature of an illumination device chamber 13 in which the white LED 3 is arranged. The central control unit 2 includes a storage unit which stores the relationship between a temperature of the illumination device chamber 13 and allowable current allowed to flow to the white LED 3. The central control unit 2 calculates allowable current corresponding to the temperature of the illumination device chamber 13 on the basis of the temperature of the illumination device chamber 13 and the relationship stored in the storage unit, and controls a power supply device so that the current flowing to the white LED 3 does not exceed the corresponding allowable current.
