1. A method for classifying whether or not a GNSS satellite has a line of sight to a GNSS receiver, the method comprising:
at at least two timestamps, at a GNNS receiver, receiving signals from a GNSS satellite; using said received signals and ephemeris data of said GNSS satellite, computing a relative direction vector indicating a direction of motion of said GNSS receiver relative to said GNSS satellite; computing a Doppler vector indicating the direction of motion of said GNSS receiver relative to said GNSS satellite, based on Doppler shifts computed for each of said received signals; comparing said relative direction vector and said Doppler vector; and using said comparison, classifying whether:
said GNSS satellite is an LOS satellite having a line of sight to said GNSS receiver; orsaid GNSS satellite is an NLOS satellite, not having a line of sight to said GNSS receiver. |
