The present invention relates to a lid (1) and body (11) assembly with a structural arrangement that makes it easier to close or open the assembly for servicing the fuel filter. In this assembly, the lid (1) and the body (11) are cylindrical and designed to prevent or at least reduce the occurrence of an imperfect fitting between the two parts. The lid (1) comprises a first slot (5) in the cylindrical body which is accessible and visible to a user and has an orthogonal projection that is inclined relative to a geometric axis (x) of the assembly, and the body (11) comprises at least one guide pin (12) that can be detachably coupled to the first slot (5).
