PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent motor characteristics by regulating the flow of magnetic flux, in the rotating part of a synchronous induction motor, and to eliminate torque shortage at startup by enlarging the magnetic pole area of a magnet.SOLUTION: In the rotating part of the synchronous induction motor, a rotor core 22 is fixed to a shaft 21, and a plurality of slots 23 are provided in the periphery of the rotor core. A secondary conductor 24 fills the slot, and a plurality of magnet insertion spaces 25 are provided on the radial inside of the slots. A plurality of magnets 26 are embedded in the magnet insertion spaces. Nonmagnetic portions 27 are formed at both ends of the magnet in the circumferential direction. Flow of magnetic flux is regulated by setting the radial distance to a slot facing the nonmagnetic portion shorter than the distance between both ends of the nonmagnetic portion in the circumferential direction and both ends of the magnet insertion space in the circumferential direction, and excellent motor characteristics are obtained while eliminating torque shortage at startup. |
