PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear ultrasonic motor capable of efficiently transmitting driving force to a driven body.SOLUTION: The linear ultrasonic motor includes: a vibrator which has a piezoelectric element; a moving portion which includes a pressurizing portion for adding pressing force to the vibrator and causing it to come in pressure-contact with a foundation portion; a cover portion fixed to the foundation portion; a rolling portion rotatably sandwiched between a moving guiding portion of the moving portion extending in a moving direction and a cover guiding portion of the cover portion extending in the moving direction; and a driven body equipped with a pivotally supported transmitting member and capable of moving only in the moving direction. The transmitting member is equipped with an energizing portion which abuts on a transmitting portion of the moving portion, and adds energizing force for energizing the moving portion to the rolling portion. The rolling portion is sandwiched by resultant force of the pressing force or the reaction force of the pressing force and the energizing force. |
