Provided is an exhaust gas treatment device for a marine diesel engine, which has high particulate matter (PM) trapping efficiency, and with which PM included in the exhaust from a marine diesel engine using fuel oil can be trapped efficiently. This diesel engine exhaust gas treatment device is equipped with an electric dust-trapping means, which has a tubular trapping part comprising discharge electrodes that charge particulate matter included in the exhaust gas, and dust-trapping electrodes that trap the charged particulate matter, with the discharge electrodes being arranged within the tubular trapping part, and is equipped with a dust-trapping means that traps particulate matter that has detached from the tubular trapping part, with a low-density exhaust gas lead-out pipe and a high-density exhaust gas lead-out part for the particulate matter being provided downstream from the tubular trapping part, and the dust-trapping means being provided in the high-density exhaust gas lead-out part. The diesel engine exhaust gas treatment device is characterized in that one or more short tubular trapping modules, the diameters of which differ in the axial direction, are combined in the tubular trapping part comprising the discharge electrodes and the dust-trapping electrodes. |
