<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve driving assistance for promoting energy-efficient driving.SOLUTION: A driving assistance apparatus is, for example, intended for a deceleration running period using fuel cut associated with acceleration off. First, a distance to a target position and a target vehicle speed which is a vehicle speed in the target position are recognized. A gear is then determined which provides the minimum fuel consumption until a vehicle reaches the target position at the target vehicle speed. If the determined gear is not a current gear, control is performed so that a driver is instructed to shift to the determined gear.</p> |
