The present invention relates to the technical field of mobile communications, in particular to a signal transmission method and device, used for reducing the burden of a communication network. The signal transmission method provided in the embodiments of the present invention comprises: a first communication node adjusting a sending state of a reference signal of a cell which belongs to the first communication node; and the first communication node sending the reference signal of the cell in accordance with the adjusted sending state of the reference signal. By means of the embodiments of the present invention, the first communication node can adjust the sending state of the reference signal of a target cell when a new UE cannot be admitted because the target cell is overloaded, so as to prevent other devices from detecting the target cell or measuring the target cell or accessing the target cell, or to reduce the probability that other devices will detect the target cell or measure the target cell or access the target cell, thereby improving the utilization rate of resources and reducing the burden of the communication network. |
