A secondary battery according to the present invention comprises: a cell assembly; a temperature sensor; and a battery case. The cell assembly includes unit cells having at least one uncoated portion path formed across an electrode plate. The temperature sensor comprises: a temperature sensing unit positioned within the uncoated portion path; and a sensor lead extending from the temperature sensing unit. The battery case accommodates the cell assembly, while the sensor lead is extracted outside and sealed. According to the present invention, since it is possible to rapidly and precisely measure the temperature change of a secondary battery, it is possible to more precisely control the secondary battery in accordance with the temperature change. Furthermore, it is possible to prevent a phenomenon that the battery efficiency decreases, by easily discharging the gas, generated inside the battery case during charging and discharging of the secondary battery, to peripheral areas of the cell assembly. |
