PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video output device capable of simultaneously outputting captions in a plurality of different languages.SOLUTION: A video output device comprises: a video reception unit 101 that receives video information from a video server device 3; a caption reception unit 102 that receives two or more pieces of caption information as information of character strings respectively indicating captions in two or more different languages; and an output unit 113 that combines the two or more pieces of caption information indicating the captions in the different languages received by the caption reception unit 102 with the video information received by the video reception unit 101, and outputs the result.
