PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To input keywords representing the feature of an object for which a user intends to search to search for an image corresponding to the object.SOLUTION: An image searching system searches for an image representing keywords designated by a user, and includes a dictionary database that holds dictionary image feature amounts extracted from dictionary images and character information indicating the dictionary images, and a search database that holds a search object image feature amount extracted from a search object image. When the user inputs the keywords, the image searching system searches for dictionary image feature amounts corresponding to the object in the dictionary database on the basis of the character information, classifies the dictionary image feature amounts to create groups, calculates the representative value of the groups, and searches for a similar image in the search database with the representative value as a search query. |
