PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording/reproducing device capable of stably reproducing a verifying signal using a DRAW technique even when overwriting on an area where is already written.SOLUTION: A diffraction element 2 that diffracts a light beam includes two kinds of regions A and B. A light condense spot of ±1-th light diffracted by the region A is disposed between neighboring recording tracks on an optical recording medium. The ±1-th light diffracted by the region B is disposed on the recording track identical to 0-th light. A detector receives light reflected by a sub spot +1B at a scanning side after recording spot. The detector receives light of sub spot +1A reflected by the region A. By differentially driving the two sub spot signals, a reproducing signal is obtained. |
