The heating cooker pertaining to the present invention includes: an operation position sensing means for sensing a position of operation by a user's finger, the operation position sensing means being arranged in one dimension; and a first setting level display means for displaying a setting level of one or more setting parameters including at least a thermal power. When the operation position sensing means is operated at the beginning of a heating start time, a setting level of the setting parameter uniquely determined in accordance with the position of operation of the operation position sensing means is displayed in the first setting level display means, and when the operation position sensing means is operated after the start of heating, regardless of the setting level determined in the operation position sensing means at the first operation at the heating start time, the setting level of the setting parameter displayed in the first setting level display means is changed in accordance with the movement distance and movement direction of the finger when the finger is slid along the operation position sensing means.
