The invention relates to a motor (1) for driving a pump (2), in particular a coolant pump, - having an electromagnet (3) for generating a first magnetic field by means of an electric current flowing through the electromagnet (3), - having a permanent magnet (4) for generating a second magnetic field by means of a ferrite contained in the permanent magnet (4), and - having a motor control unit (7), which controls a current strength loading the electromagnet (3) depending on a measured temperature. The intention in particular is to thereby avoid irreversible demagnetisation of the permanent magnet (4). |
