<p>A continuously variable transmission. The transmission simultaneously transmits power to a pump wheel (9) of a hydraulic torque converter and a gear ring (15) of a planetary gear set by using an input apparatus (2). A planetary gear carrier (12) of the planetary gear set is connected to an output apparatus (3) to output power. A sun gear (13) of the planetary gear set is connected to a turbine (8) of the hydraulic torque converter to make the turbine (8) of the hydraulic torque converter reversely rotate. By increasing a difference of rotating speeds between the pump wheel (9) and the turbine (8) of the hydraulic torque converter, a torque change range and a speed change range are increased. The pump wheel (9) changes the power output of the transmission by changing the torque, the rotating speed and the rotating direction of the turbine (8). By using the transmission, problems of the existing continuously variable transmission such as high cost, and a transmission belt being easy to be damaged and incapable of bearing a high load are solved. The transmission can bear a high load, and features a simple structure, a small volume and low cost.</p> |
