<p>The present invention relates to an accelerator pedal control apparatus for inducing eco driving and a control method thereof. The accelerator pedal control apparatus includes: a sensing unit which detects the speed and acceleration of a vehicle and an opening amount of a throttle valve; a pedal limiting unit which limits the rotary motion of an accelerator pedal; a vibration generating unit which generates vibration and transmits the vibration to the accelerator pedal; and a control unit which controls the driving of the pedal limiting unit and the vibration generating unit, based on the speed and acceleration of the vehicle and the opening amount of the throttle valve, which are detected by the sensing unit. By using the above-mentioned accelerator pedal control apparatus for inducing eco driving and the control method thereof, a tolerance of an output signal voltage value of a throttle position sensor can be set up according to the speed and acceleration of the vehicle and can limit the rotary motion of the accelerator pedal and transmit an oscillating reaction to a driver, when an actually detected output signal voltage value exceeds the tolerance.</p> |
