SURGICAL CLIP APPLIER AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY Abstract Surgical clip appliers (100) are provided and includes a channel assembly (108) extending distally from a housing (104); a clip carrier (170) disposed within said channel assembly (108) and defining a channel (170d) and a plurality of windows (172) therein; a plurality of clips ("C") slidably disposed within said channel (1 70d) of said clip carrier (170); a wedge plate (180) reciprocally disposed within said channel assembly (108), said wedge plate (180) being operatively connected to said handles (106) and including a plurality of apertures (I 80b) formed along a length thereof; and a clip follower (174) slidably disposed within said channel (170d) of said clip carrier (170) and disposed proximally of said plurality of clips ("C"), said clip follower (174) being configured and adapted for selective engagement with said windows (172) of said clip carrier (170) and said apertures (180b) of said wedge plate (180).
