<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compactly constituted machine tool having further improved mechanical strength, in the flexibly usable double spindle type machine tool.SOLUTION: In the machine tool for processing a rotatingly driven workpiece 17, the machine tool comprises one machine frame 1 having two vertical and mutually parallely arranged sidewall parts 4 and 5, at least one workpiece spindle 11 and 12, and a tool holder 18 having a tool 19. The machine tool can travel by relatively controlling at least one workpiece spindle 11 and 12 in the vertical direction (the Z axis) on vertical movable bases 2 and 3 to the machine frame 1, and at least one vertical movable base 2 and 3 is movably guided along a first guide in one of the sidewall parts 4 and 5 and along a second guide in a front wall part 6.</p> |
