<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic oxide capable of emitting a fluorescent component having a color tone better than a conventional aluminum garnet type fluorophore, a fluorophore, and a light-emitting device using the same.SOLUTION: The inorganic oxide of the present invention is a solid-solution having a garnet type crystal structure and having a compound CaLn'X(AlO)and a compound CaX'(AlO)(SiO) as at least an end component. The Ln' is a rare-earth, the X' is either of Zr and Hf, and the solid-solution emits a fluorescent component. This inorganic oxide can radiate a fluorescence having a good color tone. In this regard, a Ceactivated fluorophore of this inorganic oxide can radiate a green-blue light having a good color tone and an Euactivated fluorophore can radiate a red light having a good color tone.</p> |
