An electric recliner chair, including a chair frame, a base and a main push rod (16); the base comprises two oppositely-disposed wooden chair legs; two wooden horizontal plates (7) are provided between the two chair legs; the main push rod (16) is installed between the chair frame and the horizontal plates (7) in order to give impetus to the sliding of the chair on the base; armrests (10); the chair frame includes a seat portion (2) and a backrest portion (1); the seat portion (2) is suspendedly connected by means of a metal pull-rod (5) to the middle portion of the chair legs; the backrest portion (1) is supported, by means of a sliding device, at the rear portion of the chair legs; the metal pull-rod (5) is movably articulated to the metal support frame; the sliding device includes a guide-rail base (3) and a slide-motion guide rail (11); the guide-rail base (3) is fixedly installed on the chair legs; the slide-motion guide rail (11) is fixedly installed on the backrest portion (1); the guide-rail base (3) includes a supporting member which supports the slide-motion guide rail (11), and a position-limiting member (306) which limits the upward motion of the slide-motion guide rail (11).
