PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for prolongation of a period until a current leakage occurs due to migration.SOLUTION: A ceramic device functioning as a sensor device 10 includes a ceramic element 12 where electrodes are arranged on both sides of a dielectric ceramic, and a sensor operating section 14 applies a predetermined sensor operation voltage to the ceramic element 12 at every sensor period, takes out an electric signal indicating variation of dielectric constant dependent on the temperature change, and operates as a temperature sensor. An inspecting section 16 connects an inspection current supply source 15 capable of supplying an inspection current with a ceramic element 17 for a predetermined time, at a predetermined timing not applying the sensor operation voltage, every predetermined inspection period, and when a dendrite grown by migration through a crack of the dielectric ceramic connects between the electrodes, feeds an inspection current to the dendrite thus causing blowout of the dendrite by self-heating. |
