PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the constant drainage efficiency even when a scale content etc. is deposited in humidification elements and thereby inhibit the deterioration of the humidification capacity.SOLUTION: A humidifier according to the invention includes: a humidification unit where humidification elements including water conveyance elements, which may retain water, are arranged at a predetermined interval; a water supply pipe for supplying water from a water supply source to the humidification unit; and a pressure adjustment valve which may adjust a pressure of the water to be supplied to the humidification unit. The humidifier further includes a control unit which controls the opening of the pressure adjustment valve so as to prevent the water from reaching the uppermost parts of the humidification elements in a vertical direction. |
