[Problem] To project onto the surface of a work plate the shape of a cutting line for a workpiece, and to make it possible to correct so-called blade drift. [Solution] In a bandsaw for cutting a workpiece using a flexible steel band, this device projects onto the surface of a work plate the shape of a cutting line for the workpiece. This auxiliary device for cutting in a bandsaw is provided with a work plate support unit (21) which, centered on the flexible steel band (14), is provided on the main body in order to adjustably support the work plate (15) and fix the same in an arbitrary position and orientation, and with a light beam projector (40) which projects onto the surface of the work plate the shape of the workpiece cutting line, wherein the light beam projector is mounted on the lateral surface of the bandsaw main body (11) so as to emit a light beam parallel to the cut surface cut by the flexible steel band, and a projection unit (42) is attached using a fitting (41) which can change the projection direction to an arbitrary direction. |
