<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel device manufacturing method that enables the number of processing steps to be less than that of a conventional method when separating a cover glass integral type touch panel device into a touch panel device for an individual display device, and dicing the cover glass integral type touch panel device into pieces after the cover glass integral type touch panel device is formed with the cover glass integral type touch panel device mounted integrally with a glass base material, and after diced into pieces, as it is, enables a non-reinforced area of the glass base material in a side surface part to be less, and endures use as the touch panel device.SOLUTION: A touch panel device manufacturing method has: a groove formation step of forming a groove for separation along an outer periphery of the groove on a surface side of a side having a touch sensor of a reinforced glass base member serving as a touch panel array member arranged or on a surface side of an opposite side of the surface side for each one piece of touch panel devices; a resin filling/hardening step of filling hardening resin into the groove formed in the groove formation step, and hardening the resin; and a dicing step of cutting the hardened resin formed in the resin filling/hardening step, and dicing the hardened resin into pieces for each one piece of the touch panel devices.</p> |
