1. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a deuterated analogue of tetrabenazine which yields, when orally administered to a subject, at least one of the following:
an increase of the AUC of the total combined amount of deuterated dihydrotetrabenazine of at least 50% as compared to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an equivalent amount of non-deuterated tetrabenazine; or an increase in half-life of deuterated dihydrotetrabenazine of at least 50%; as compared to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an equivalent amount of non-deuterated tetrabenazine.
