Disclosed are a method and device for managing context information in a heterogeneous network. The method comprises: a base station device obtaining context information about a UE in a non-3GPP network; and the base station device maintaining the context information about the UE in the non-3GPP network. In the embodiments of the present application, when the UE is switched from a 3GPP network to the non-3GPP network, the base station device can maintain the context information about the UE in the non-3GPP network, so that the base station device can use the context information about the UE in the non-3GPP network to conduct relevant processing, that is, the base station device uses the context information about the UE in the non-3GPP network to determine whether to conduct measurement configuration and/or uses the context information about the UE in the non-3GPP network to determine whether to conduct service switching, etc. |
