A buyer-centric payables bidding method, system, and computer-implemented program instructions are disclosed. The payables bidding system facilitates the discounting of vouchered payables through an online bid process. In the online auction process, suppliers of goods and/or services bid on the right to collect vouchered payments from buyer before the previously agreed "due date" of those payments. The online bid is defined as the discounted amount a supplier is willing to accept in exchange for obtaining prompt payment on a vouchered payment. |
