PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic field generator using a permanent magnet which allows for generation of a transient magnetic field by changing the flux density without requiring assembly and disassembly of a magnetic circuit.SOLUTION: A magnetic field generator is constituted of a permanent magnet 1, yokes 2-7, an air gap 8, adjustment mechanism side yokes 23-26, an adjustment mechanism side gap 28, magnetic materials 30a-30c of the same material with different thickness, and a nonmagnetic translation stage 31, where the nonmagnetic translation stage 31 can translate in the translation direction 32a shown on the drawing. When translating the nonmagnetic translation stage 31 in the translation direction 32a shown on the drawing, the magnetic materials 30a-30c of the same material with different thickness arranged on the nonmagnetic translation stage 31 are inserted into the adjustment mechanism side gap 28, which changes the flux density, thereby generating a transient magnetic field. |
