PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene terephthalate film for a sensor of a seating seat, which has a small amount of a cyclic trimer.SOLUTION: A production method of a polyethylene terephthalate layer for a sensor of a seating seat is provided, in which the layer is molded by melt-extruding a polyester resin containing 60 wt.% or more of a polyethylene terephthalate (A) having a terminal carboxyl group amount of 20 equivalent/t or less and an intrinsic viscosity of 0.66 or more. A film for a sensor of a seating seat is obtained, which includes a polyethylene terephthalate layer obtained by the above production method as at least one outermost layer.
