The invention relates to an awning assembly having an awning (2), particularly a sun awning, fastened by the fixed end thereof to a shaft (1) on which it can be wound and unwound by means of an electrical motor, to the loose end (4) of which awning one end of a tensioning rope (3) is fastened. Essential to the invention is a second electrical motor which is synchronized to the first electrical motor and which drives a winding shaft to which the other end of the tensioning rope is fastened in order to wind or unwind it thereupon. A tensioning device engages on the tensioning rope (3), wherein gravity is utilized and particularly the tensioning device has a weight (9) to generate a constant rope tension. |
