<p>A method, in a network node, for managing a location of a mobile terminal within a mobile communications network is disclosed, the network comprising a plurality of mobility areas, each divided into at least one sub-mobility area. The method comprises maintaining a location database for the mobile terminal (step 20), wherein the location database indicates a mobility area and a sub-mobility area of the mobile terminal. A computer program product for carrying out a method for managing a location of a mobile terminal in a mobile communications network is also disclosed. Also disclosed is a mobility management node (200, 300) in a mobile communications network, the network comprising a plurality of mobility areas, each divided into at least one sub.mobility area.
