<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop operations without preparing a high-performance relay switch when the operations are stopped by supplying power to onboard equipment by utilizing a step-up converter. <P>SOLUTION: When a control device 34 outputs an OFF command to a semiconductor switch 28 in turning off an electrically heated catalytic device 30, a voltage detecting circuit 32 monitors a voltage applied to the electrically heated catalytic device 30. If the power is supplied to the electrically heated catalytic device 30 although the OFF command is output to the semiconductor switch 28, the control device 34 controls the step-up converter 22 to turn off the voltage step-up by the step-up converter 22 and then controls to turn off the relay switch 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
