<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image feature amount calculation device and an image feature amount calculation program that are capable of easily calculating an image feature amount from a single image, and capable of calculating an image feature amount with higher determination accuracy of character likeness or the like than that of a conventionally used image feature amount by considering relationship between edges. <P>SOLUTION: An image feature amount calculation device 1 comprises: edge detection means 10 for detecting an edge included in an image; edge pattern detection means 20 for detecting an edge pattern indicating the existence/absence of edges in peripheral pixels of the pixel at which the edge is detected; and edge pattern totaling means 30 for totaling, for each pattern type, the appearance frequency of the edge pattern in the image, and calculating an image feature amount based on the totaled appearance frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
