<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor for estimating a snow melting rate that uses a simple temperature sensor and can estimate a snow melting rate with accuracy similar to that of a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature sensor for estimating a snow melting rate used for snow melting rate estimation comprises: a sensor body 2; a light absorption part 3 provided on the outer face of the sensor body 2; and a glass tube 4 as a translucent case for containing the sensor body 2 with the light absorption part 3 provided thereon. The light absorption part 3 is composed of a black paint layer. When the light absorption part 3 absorbs solar light, temperature data corresponding to atmospheric temperature and the amount of solar radiation is obtained. From the temperature data, a snow melting rate can be estimated. The translucent glass tube 4 transmits solar light and eliminates the effect of rain and wind at the time of measurement. The black paint can easily provide the light absorption part 3. Since black has high heat emissivity, temperature data with the amount of solar radiation reflected can be accurately obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
