<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the technological positioning of an idea for which a patent application is under consideration. <P>SOLUTION: In an idea arrangement support device 100, a condition generation part 20 generates retrieval conditions from an electronic document 108 including an idea for which a patent application is under consideration. A patent document retrieval part 30 retrieves a patent document based on the retrieval conditions. A patent document acquisition part 40 acquires the patent document obtained as the result of retrieval. An F term extraction part 50 extracts an F term group from the patent document. An F term display control part 60 displays an F term map according to the structure of a partial tree with the theme code of the extracted F term group as a root node.
