<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin identification device that identifies the diameter of a coin with high precision using a small coil sensor capable of measuring the material and thickness of the coil. <P>SOLUTION: A normalizing part 61 normalizes voltage waveforms outputted by a coin detection part 2-1 and a coin detection part 2-2 such that the maximum voltage values thereof are predetermined values, the coin detection part 2-1 and the coin detection part 2-2 arranged along a coin rolling direction of a coin passage at an interval corresponding to the diameter of the coin to be identified. An intersection specifying part 62 specifies a voltage value at an intersection of the two normalized voltage waveforms, and a comparing part 64 compares the specified voltage value at the intersection with a reference value stored in a reference value storage part 63 to identify the diameter of the coin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
