<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for oxide superconductor which can provide an oxide superconductor having good superconducting properties, and a method of producing a substrate for oxide superconductor efficiently while shortening the process time, and to provide an oxide superconductor having good superconducting properties, and a method of producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A substrate 10 for oxide superconductor is produced by providing a first diffusion prevention layer 11, a second diffusion prevention layer 12, a third diffusion prevention layer 13, and an intermediate layer 4 deposited by ion beam assist vacuum deposition sequentially on a metal base 1 in this order.
