PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in image quality due to a change of a dither pattern while restraining an increase in cost with simple constitution in skew correction in an optical writing device. SOLUTION: When a locus of a reaching point of a light beam on a photoreceptor drum 109 inclines to a direction perpendicular to a rotating direction of the photoreceptor drum 109 because of non-conformity of scanning speed of the light beam by a reflection mirror 280 with revolving speed of the photoreceptor drum 109, pixel information stored in a line memory for every main scanning line is input in a light emission controller while adjusting timing, whereby the pixel information to be input in either of two light source devices 281BK and 281C is shifted to a sub scanning direction in the middle of a main scanning line.
