PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper folding device with improved paper folding performance, the paper folding device having at most two paper nipping rollers. SOLUTION: A paper postprocessing device 100 includes: a paper folding mechanism 200 arranged between a first paper carrying passage 101 and a second paper carrying passage 102 arranged in parallel at an interval to the first paper carrying passage 101, having two rollers 201 and 202, and folding paper by nipping the paper in a gap G; a first paper guiding member 303 in contact with the paper on a first paper carrying passage 101 to guide the paper to the gap G between the two rollers 201 and 202; and a second paper guiding member 304 in contact with the paper existing in a second paper carrying passage 102 to guide the paper to the gap G between the two rollers 201 and 202. The second paper guiding member 304 functions as an attitude changing member which comes in contact with the paper introduced to the second paper carrying passage 102 via the paper folding mechanism 200 to change an attitude in the second paper carrying passage 102 of the paper.
