<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CATV repeater, a CATV transmission system, and a wired and wireless signal transmission method which allow combination use of wireless communication without reviewing the design of a CATV transmission path itself. <P>SOLUTION: First and second directional filters 11 and 12 separates signals transmitted upward and downward through a transmission path within a CATV repeater 10. A turnout 13 branches the downward signal, and a bandpass filter 14 separates a signal for wireless communication from one of the branched signals, and a wireless transmitter 15 outputs radio waves.
