<p>The present invention relates to a weight lightening bumper beam using composite rods. The bumper beam includes an upper flange, a lower flange, and a beam body, which closes the front of a vehicle and is formed to have a C-shape opened toward the vehicle by connecting the upper flange and the lower flange. An upper composite rod and a lower composite rod, which are made of a material different from the beam body, are embedded to be integrated on the outer surfaces of the upper flange and the lower flange respectively. Therefore, the weight lightening bumper beam using composite rods has equal or more properties for satisfying specifications even when the thickness of the beam body is reduced. According to the present invention, the weight lightening bumper beam satisfies laws and regulations required to a bumper beam installed in a vehicle and reduces total weight for weight lightening by improving the structure of a bumper beam.</p> |
