METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SUPER-HYDROPHOBIC FILM

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a super-hydrophobic film, the method comprising the steps of (a) forming a pyramid structure on a surface of a substrate; (b) coating a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) on a surface of the pyramid structure; (c) coating a polymer on the surface of the pyramid structure; and (d) separating the polymer from the substrate. According to the present invention, the super-hydrophobic film can be manufactured even without using a mask and a sacrifice layer by forming a micro-/nano-structured pyramid surface using RIE etching and easily separating the super-hydrophobic film using SAM. Therefore, the super-hydrophobic film can be simply manufactured at low costs when compared with the prior art. Furthermore, the super-hydrophobic film can be repeatedly manufactured by using the pyramid surface.
