<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably carry out user's intended operation by discriminating various operations made by a non-conductive external matter such as a glove.SOLUTION: In a touch panel layer 101, the electrostatic capacitance varies depending on the distance from an external matter, and the touch panel layer 101 outputs signals of different intensity according to the variation of the electrostatic capacitance. A coordinate acquisition unit 102 determines a contact state in which the external matter is in touch with the touch panel layer 101 and a proximity state in which the external matter is positioned within a predetermined distance from the touch panel layer 101 based on the intensity of the signal. A state determination section 105 determines the contact state and the proximity state based on the state determination result by the coordinate acquisition unit 102 and a detection result by a pressure acquisition unit 104. A touch coordinate processing section 106 performs a processing relevant to a touch input operation. A hover coordinate processing section 107 performs a processing relevant to a hover operation.</p> |
