<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling performance of a power module. <P>SOLUTION: An electric power conversion system includes: a casing 1 forming a cooling flow passage 10; and a power module 3 having heat radiation fin groups 33 disposed within the cooling flow passage 10 and exchanging heat with a refrigerant. The power module 3 includes: a cylindrical portion 31 storing a semiconductor device; and a flange portion 32 formed on an opening of the cylindrical portion 31. The cylindrical portion 31 includes a pair of side plates 31a arranged opposing to each other. On each of the pair of side plates 31a, the heat radiation fin group 33 is erected to project to the cooling flow passage 10 via a clearance 16 having a predetermined length relative to the flange portion 32. At least a pair of baffle plates 13 which are disposed between the heat radiation fin groups 33 erected on the pair of side plates 31a of the cylindrical portion 31 respectively and the flange portion 32 to guide the refrigerant to the heat radiation fin groups 33 are installed to project from the casing 1 to the sides of the side plates 31a of the cylindrical portion 31 of the power module 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
