<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a substance containing indium oxide, e.g. high-purity indium hydroxide by eliminating impuries contained in an ITO scrap. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing indium hydroxide includes: a process (A) which dissolves a substance containing indium oxide with acid to produce an indium solution; a process (B) which adds an oxidant to the indium solution to make ORP (based on silver/silver chloride potential) 600 to 900 mV; a process (C) which passes the oxidant-added indium solution through a strong acid cation exchange resin to eliminate impure cations; a process (D) which generates an impure anion precipitate by adjusting the pH of the indium solution after passing through the strong acid cation exchange resin to 1.5-3.0 to eliminate this by solid-liquid separation; and a process (E) which produces a precipitate of indium hydroxide by making the pH of the filtered liquid after the process (D) eight or higher by adding alkali and gains a filtered material of indium hydroxide by separating the solid from the liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
