PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a plasticizer conventionally used for a fired pencil lead induces an uneven structure of a fired lead because of poor solubility of the plasticizer with a synthetic resin or of transferring property, and causes variation in the bending strength, and to provide a fired pencil lead having little variation in the bending strength. SOLUTION: The fired pencil lead uses at least graphite and a chlorine-containing resin as compounding materials, wherein a grafted copolymer of vinyl chloride and butyl acrylate is used in the chlorine-containing resin, in an amount of 15 wt.% or more with respect to the whole amount.
