<p>The method involves assigning output devices (5, 12) assigned to an application device (1) controlled by a control device (16). Particle fluid (8) and pigment fluid (10) are held in holding containers. The particle fluid and the pigment fluid are applied in a coordinated manner in terms of time and spatial distribution onto a glass and/or ceramic substrate (2) to be coated. Particles of particle fluid are applied with fluid formed by gas or liquid onto fluid drops of the pigment fluid, where the particles are made of glass or ceramics, metal or non-metal materials, or plastic.
