<p>An oil filter (1) having a capturing portion (25) formed by a frame (10) and a mesh member (20) attached to the frame (10). The frame (10) is made of a ferrite injection molded magnet, includes an inflow opening (12) at one end for flowing oil thereinto, and is mounted in an oil passage (37) in a manner that a flange portion (11) around the inflow opening (12) is magnetically joined to a metallic separate plate (35). When clogging occurs in the mesh member (20) and the pressure in the capturing portion (25) exceeds a predetermined point, the flange portion (11) is disengaged from the separate plate (35), which makes a gap between the aperture (36) of the separate plate (35) and the inflow opening (12) of the oil filter (1) , which then allows the oil to be discharged. Thereby, foreign matters such as metal flake particles included in the oil circulating through the oil passage are effectively captured, and also an abnormal increase of the oil pressure of the oil passage in the case of clogging can be prevented.</p> |
